Welcome to the Mariners of PGI, a group of friendly individuals who relish being on the water either in power or sailing vessels. We are cruisers, members who enjoy local daytime cruises, overnight outings in varied locations on the Gulf, plus longer range cruises to the Keys and Bahamas. Come join us for both cruising and social camaraderie. The Mariners of PGI is a club of approximately 200 members whose common goals are cruising, boating education, and social activities. As an active cruising club, each year members have the opportunity to participate in over 40 cruises including overnight trips to southwest Florida coastal marinas, anchor-outs at various destinations, day cruises to waterfront restaurants on Charlotte Harbor, the ICW and the Peace River. For the more adventurous, there are multi-day trips to anchorages/marinas in Ft. Myers and Tampa areas, plus more long range cruises to the Florida Keys and the Bahamas. A Boating Club with a Social Tradition. Palm Coast Yacht Club members are boaters, people who love the water, and a welcoming group who likes to have a good time. The Sailfish Point Marina and Yacht Club is one of the largest bulkheaded, privately owned marinas in Florida. The private, full-service, deepwater marina offers 84 slips and can accommodate vessels up to 125 feet in length. An additional 45 dry slips are available for personal watercraft and boats up to 25 feet to be stored on trailors in the parking lot, with the Marina staff providing launch and recovery services. The Yacht Club was formed in 1986 by members who shared a passion for being on the beautiful waterways that surround Sailfish Point. The club today has nearly 300 family memberships, or more than 50% of the families living at Sailfish Point. We are the The Salty Sisters Women's Sailing Club, the largest club within-a-club of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club (SPYC). Our parent Club is one of the oldest yacht clubs in the United States, located on beautiful Tampa Bay. The Salty Sisters are also historic, being one of the oldest women’s sailing clubs in the U.S. Our Club was founded in 1951 by a group of women who were wives of SPYC members. Today our membership is nearly 200. We sail from the nearby St Petersburg Sailing Center (SPSC), which is managed by the SPYC, using their fleet, which includes Ideals, 420s, Sonars, Optimist Prams, and J70s. We meet regularly each Wednesday for sailing followed by a luncheon and business meeting.
