  • Halifax Rowing Association Halifax Rowing Association
    Halifax Rowing Association (HRA) grew from the determined interest of a group of ex-collegiate rowers. HRA was incorporated as a not-for-profit Florida Corporation in 1994, and the HRA boathouse was erected in partnership with the City of Daytona Beach soon thereafter in 1996. HRA's mission is to foster the sport of rowing in Daytona Beach and the broader Volusia County area. HRA is dedicated to offering programs for rowers, but also to building awareness of rowing for those new to the sport. HRA currently offers rowing programs for adult (masters) and junior (middle and high school) rowers. HRA also supports Brooks Rehabilitation, who offer and manage rowing for adaptive rowers. Finally, HRA supports Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's rowing program, who operate out of the HRA boathouse. Daytona Beach, Florida

    Serving the adult rowing community since 1987. Jacksonville Rowing Club provides for a great environment for returning rowers and newcomers alike. Over the years JRC has become Northeast's Florida's true community rowing club. Our members range from as far as St. Augustine and Palatka in the south, to Kings Bay in the north, and to the communities of Atlantic, Neptune, Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra Beaches. Over the years, the JRC Board has integrated representatives from all the scholastic and collegiate rowing programs in the area. Since our founding, we have developed learn to row programs for youth and adults, judge/referee development programs, coxswain clinics, and a competitive masters program; conceived, and initially ran, the First Coast Head Race; produced the Trout River Rowing Festival; and organized a small community youth rowing program, which was disbanded in 2018.     We are the Marion County Aquaholics Paddlers Group, Inc., one of Florida's most active paddling groups. We regularly paddle numerous rivers, streams, creeks, runs, lakes and coastal waters all over Central Florida. Our periodic "Full Moon" paddles are a real treat, never to be forgotten. Each month there are at least two or more paddle trips waiting for you and even an occasional over-night campout along one of our favorite waterways.     In Fall 2018, the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation department partnered with Children's Athletic Network & Dance Opportunities, Inc (CANDO) to offer a rowing program for Blake High School. Blake High Rowing exposed over 40 students to the sport in our first year and sent 18 students to the 2019 Florida State Rowing Championship in Sarasota. In 2019 Blake High Rowing transitioned to Team Tampa Rowing Club to accommodate more high school and middle school athletes from the greater Tampa Bay community. This expansion introduced rowing to upwards of 140 new athletes and culminated in 18 unique entries at the 2021 Florida State Rowing Championship; allowing 40 athletes to compete at youth rowing's highest level.
