- Ammerland Sailing Club
Ammerland Sailing Club
new
The Ammerland Sailing Club is the second oldest sailing club in Bavaria. It was founded in 1896 by young people from Ammerland and holidaymakers. We are proud of this long history and maintain many traditions to this day. Since 1973, we have been leasing the beautiful property at Südliche Seestraße 24. The property, boathouse, and harbor facilities are a listed historical ensemble. Preserving the charm of this estate is important to us. For many years, one of our special goals has been to instill in children and young people a love of sailing. A whole team of volunteer instructors introduces children and young people to sailing Optimists, 420s, and Lasers, and helps them get started in regatta sailing. The Ammerland Sailing Club is a family-oriented club whose members – especially the young ones – actively and enthusiastically shape club life. Starnberg Lake, Upper Bavaria, Germany

Segler Verband Niedersachsen
new
The Sailing Association of Lower Saxony (SVN) is the sailing division of the Lower Saxony State Sports Federation (LSB). It is based in Hanover and is a member of the German Sailing Association (DSV). It comprises approximately 200 clubs with around 27,000 members. The SVN is divided into four regional associations, whose boundaries correspond to those of the former administrative districts of Lower Saxony. While the focus of cruising and recreational sailing lies in the coastal areas, the high-level regattas for dinghy classes, some with international participation, take place in the Leine-Weser regional association, specifically on the "Steinhuder Meer" and "Dümmer See" waters. The SVN (Sailing Club of Lower Saxony) upholds the principles of amateurism and pursues exclusively and directly charitable purposes. Its main objectives—the promotion of sailing, the preservation of existing sailing areas, and the development of new ones—serve all levels of sailing, from cruising and recreational sailors to competitive and regatta sailors, surfers, land and ice sailors, and model sailors. The training of young sailors is of particular importance. Bielefeld, Germany

Almost every weekend during the season from April to October there is a different series of races for the current boat classes in the sailing club. The activities in our sailing club began in 1969 at Langener Waldsee. The then, much smaller, gravel pit became interesting for water sports and especially for sailing in the Rhine Main area due to its central location and the good water quality. Over the years, not only has the water surface increased to more than 1,000,000 square meters, but also the number of club members. With currently more than 500 members, the DSCL is one of the largest sailing clubs in Hessen with its own area, club boats and corresponding club area. The central location of the Langener Waldsee makes the area interesting for regatta sailors from all over Germany. Langen, Germany
