Sail Parry Sound is a not-for-profit corporation formed by volunteers in 1997 to restore the sailing heritage to the waters of Parry Sound, through excellence in sail training and regatta management. Today, the sailing school instructors, mostly graduates of Sail Parry Sound Sailing School, teach 300 student weeks each summer. The sailing school, named Best in Canada in 2003, has an active and successful race team. Parry Sound is the largest natural harbour on the Great Lakes. Georgian Bay is on the East side of Lake Huron in Ontario, Canada. The pristine, open water, known locally as the Big Sound, and renowned worldwide, is more than five by six nautical miles in area, and more than 300 feet deep. Parry Sound is a sailing paradise in a spectacular Northern Ontario locale, designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada
