Our mission is to provide mentorship and support to our disabled and medically affected Veterans in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma through fly fishing and related activities that enhance their lives and increase self confidence. The Shelby County Bass Anglers was created by a dedicated group of anglers holding informal tournaments on Lake Pinkston in the summer of 1991. The TBF Federation in Texas had to be started in 2007 when the existing federation voted to stay with B.A.S.S. instead of moving over to FLW Outdoors like the majority of other states did. The TBF puts emphasis on the weekend fisherman and allows him to fit into the sport at whatever level he desires!

The Texas Classic Bass Club meets in Austin, Texas, and fishes primarily local area lakes (Travis, LBJ, Dunlap, Austin, etc.) We hold a tournament once each month consisting of six partner tournaments and the six draw tournaments each calendar year. The real focus of the Texas Classic Bass Club is to develop a camaraderie among members and to share fishing knowledge through our tournament program.
