In addition to the print magazine which comes out 11 times per year, Professional Mariner publishes e-mail newsletters, this website and a digital replica of the print magazine which reaches readers around the world. Special issues called American Tugboat Review and American Ship Review cover shipbuilding while regular issues cover training and licensing, maritime casualties, technology, engineering and regulatory trends and issues. Head offices are in Portland, Maine, with key colleagues located across the U.S.

Southwest Florida Marine Industries Association (SWFMIA) is made of a broad range of member businesses with an interest in recreational boating. New Boat & Motor Dealers, Boat Manufacturers, Yacht Brokers, Marina and Service Yards, Marine Service providers of all kinds, Marine Electronics sales and service, Metal Fabricators, Boat Lift Manufacturers and dealers, and many other related businesses. The association plays an active role in the local community and has, for more than forty years, worked to protect the rights both of the boating consumer and member businesses. SWFMIA owns three annual boat shows, including the Fort Myers Boat Show held each November in beautiful downtown Fort Myers. It has grown to become one of the major shows in Florida with new and brokerage boats in-water and a huge showing of boats and accessories in the Harborside Event Center and outdoors along the Caloosahatchee River. In addition, the Association holds the Bonita Springs Boat Show at the Naples-Fort Myers Greyhound Track in March and the Charlotte County Boat Show at the Charlotte County Fairgrounds in January.
