The United States Power Squadrons (USPS), America's Boating Club, is a nation-wide boating organization. We learn together, boat together, and help each other and other boaters on the water and on land. Our members learn boating skills, engage with boating friends, and connect with the boating community. The Vermilion Sail and Power Squadron was established September 14, 1937. Most of our members live along Lake Erie, between Sandusky and Cleveland. West Channel Yacht Club is owned and operated by our membership. We have a proud history and now celebrate our 38th year. Our clubhouse overlooks the Chagrin River and has plenty of elbow room with approx. 5000 Sq.Ft. The front deck is mostly shaded and is a great place to sit and watch all the action on the river. Our Club State Room can handle up to 200 people. We have many events and most are hosted in this area. Our bar is open during events and is ready with your favorite refreshments! Our harbor has quality floating docks, many of which can handle up to a 40' vessel! All of our docks have fresh water hookups and electric. All docks come with a "green area" for members.
