  • Fly Tyer Magazine Fly Tyer Magazine
Fly Tyer Magazine is Fly Tying, Fly Recipes, Fly Patterns, Fly Fishing. Fly Tyer is owned by MCC Magazines, LLC (Morris Communications Company) of Augusta, Georgia. It was relaunched in the summer of 1995 as a quarterly in its original fly-tying-only format, with a goal to eventually achieve a circulation of 30,000. Readers immediately recognized that Fly Tyer offered more accurate, easy-to-follow, step-by-step tying instructions than any other publication in the marketplace. They also found well-written articles about history and fly-tying tools, materials and new patterns. As a result, circulation has rapidly risen to more than 44,000. Fly Tyer is now the fourth largest fly-fishing magazine in North America. It appeals not only to novice fly tyers, but to the most experienced as well.

  • Learn Saltwater Fly Tying Patterns, How To Step By Step Instructions Learn Saltwater Fly Tying Patterns, How To Step By Step Instructions
Whether it’s camaraderie, creativity, art—or simply a device to catch more fish people are passionate about tying flies for a lot of different reasons. For me, it's all those reasons and more. Tying is an important part of my daily routine. And teaching others the art of fly tying is one of my favorite activities. My goal for this site is to create a vehicle for sharing ideas on fly pattern development as well as a clear, easy to follow educational resource for tyers of all skill levels. The aim is to teach fly tiers how to effectively mimic the shape, size, color, and specific movements of saltwater prey items and learn which materials will best achieve these characteristics. Knowing how to select the right fly tying materials and learning proper tying techniques is key to creating productive saltwater - and freshwater - flies. Fort Myers, Florida
