    The Club enjoys a fantastic location on Sunbury Lock Island on the River Thames, which allows for some terrific cruises both up- and down- river, and further afield. We're a large and friendly sailing club situated less than two miles from Birmingham City centre on Edgbaston Reservior. We also hold many excellent social events, including barbecues during the summer and a programme of Wednesday night events during the winter.     The Millbeach Marine Club is located on the North shore of the River Blackwater (what many consider to be the finest sailing area on the East coast) some four miles down river of Maldon town and quay. Our club fees are probably the best value on the river because our members carry out most, if not all, of the improvement and routine maintenance work which is achieved by organised working parties during the winter period. These are popular in that they offer the opportunity for new members to meet the ‘old hands’.
