  • Upnor Sailing Club Upnor Sailing Club
This friendly club was established in the early sixties with just a handful of moorings and members met in the local pubs. Since these humble beginnings the club has evolved and we can now offer some of the best facilities in the area at very competitive prices. We currently have 86 sheltered moorings on the Medway close to Chatham Historic Dockyard. We access these from our private “mud free” pontoon from which we launch dinghies and bring our yachts alongside for loading/unloading of crew and gear. This facility also incorporates a dinghy/tender storage area and 2 scrubbing docks. The clubhouse, purchased and converted by us in the mid eighties from 3 bargees cottages boasts a superb clubroom with well stocked bar, balcony with excellent river views, galley, toilets and showers, secure car parking with shed storage and workshops. We have a very active social, cruising and race program with events for every taste. Lower Upnor, Rochester, Medway, England, UK
