To christen the chapter, rather than reinvent the wheel, John salvaged the "Adirondack" moniker from a defunct chapter that had been based in those mountains. From the beginning, the chapter has been laser focused on in-stream and riparian zone restoration. As the chapter has grown, as have the scope and range of the projects it has undertaken.
