The object of the Association is: To preserve, maintain and further interest in Nova Scotia schooners of all types, i.e. vessels built in the province fore and aft rigged with two or more masts; In co-operation with the Maritime Museum of Canada to collect all possible information on schooners, their builders, owners, histories, pictures, etc.; To hold Schooner Races in Nova Scotia waters at least once each year to determine the Nova Scotian Schooner Championship; To stimulate the design and construction of schooner-type vessels in the Province of Nova Scotia; to improve the facilities for yachtsmen in Nova Scotia.

Based in South Australia on the original rig of a classic 1850's brigantine the One and All is no replica. Launched in 1985 her 30-metre(100ft) hull is constructed of the Australian timbers, iron bark, jarrah and Huon pine to the modern standards of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority and is surveyed to sail the oceans of the world.

The last of the Gloucestermen. Schooner Adventure is a 122-foot historic wooden dory fishing schooner built in 1926 in Essex, Massachusetts. Constructed of white oak and yellow pine, she was fashioned as a "knockabout" - a design without a bowsprit for the safety of the crew. The Schooner Adventure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, an Official Project of Save America’s Treasures, and the flagship of Gloucester, Massachusetts, America’s oldest fishing port founded in 1623.

The Schooner Alcyone is a 82' topmast schooner whose home port is Port Townsend , Wa. The Alcyone does youth and adult sail training, and family and adult sailing charters/vacations around the protected waters of the Pacific Northwest (the San Juan Islands, Desolation Sound and Barkley Sound) . The Alcyone is a classic wooden sailing vessel that was built in 1956 by Frank Prothero.

SCHOONER ERNESTINA, Ex. Effie M.Morrissey, was built in 1894 at the James and Tarr Shipyard for the Gloucester fishing fleet. Under Captain Bob Bartlett she sailed to within 600 miles of the North Pole, and later brought immigrants to the U.S. under the power of sail. Returned to the US in 1982 as a gift from the newly independent Cape Verdean people, she sailed as an educator until 2005. New Bedford, Massachusetts

- Schooner J. & E. Riggin
The J. & E. Riggin is a beautiful old two-masted schooner that has been newly rebuilt to accommodate 24 passengers and 6 crew. She is 90' long on deck, 120' overall, 23' wide and draws 7' with her centerboard up. The Riggin was originally built in Dorchester, N.J., in 1927, for the oyster dredging trade. She was built for Charles Riggin, who named her after his two sons, Jacob and Edward. After being rebuilt and rerigged as a passenger vessel, the Riggin has sailed Penobscot Bay since 1977.

Official tall ship of the city of Mobile and the state of Alabama. Joshua is a classic 72' wooden schooner sailing on Mobile Bay, Alabama under the command of Captain Carol Bramblett.
