In late 2012 discussions among two anglers paved the way for the now South Dakota Bass Federation to begin in early 2013. Weekend anglers to the serious tournament competitors are welcomed in this all inclusive Federation. It began with just five anglers who were intrigued with the way that The Bass Federation (TBF) and FLW ran their tournaments. Craving that difference, Lance Hildebrandt decided to take the plunge and found the organization.
