Rowing New South Wales is the recognised state sporting organisation for the Olympic sport of Rowing in NSW, Australia. The New South Wales Rowing Association (NSWRA) was formed in 1878. On July 1st, 2011 the Association adopted a new constitution and became Rowing New South Wales Incorporated (RNSW). Sandy Point is located in Sydney's south west, on the southern side of Georges River. The club has three boats. We use the scenic river as our training ground, and paddle as far west as the M5 bridge, and as far east as the Alford's Point bridge. Founded officially in July 2010 with the first meeting, Southside Paddlers is the newest sprint canoe club in Australia. The club actually started unofficially in late 2009. The club logo represents a sprint kayaker, racing on the river at Dawn or Sunset, the swoosh of the paddle spray forming an S ( for Southside).
