  • Brattleboro Outing Club Brattleboro Outing Club
Founded in 1922 by local sports enthusiast Fred Harris, the Brattleboro Outing Club (BOC) is one of the oldest civic outdoor sports associations in the country. Its mission to "encourage, develop, and promote family outdoor life and good fellowship" has remained unchanged over the decades. The Brattleboro Outing Club offers four distinct programs throughout the year: cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, paddling, rowing, and tennis. "RowBOC" is the nickname of the Brattleboro Outing Club Rowing Program. We are in our twelfth season rowing from our docks on the West River in Brattleboro, Vermont. We believe rowing builds skills people need in daily life: teamwork, persistence, working toward a goal, a sense of humor and humility. It's also an excellent opportunity for fitness, recreation, and social engagement. Our members include youth rowers, novice rowers, and experienced adult rowers and competitors. Brattleboro, Vermont

We are committed to our Vermont community and host the Lake Champlain Dragon Boat Festival where people in our community team up to race dragon boats for charity. • Malia Racing: Dragon Boat Racing Crews in Vermont Malia Racing: Dragon Boat Racing Crews in Vermont
Malia (mahl-yuh) is an inclusive community of competitive Vermont dragon boat paddlers—passionate about our sport, our environment, and one another. A culture of teamwork, accountability, and healthy competition is at our core. We believe in being true to yourself and your crew. We’re lucky to have coaches who have both paddled with and coached championship teams — from elite club crews in Montreal to Team USA and Team Canada. We train in both standard (20-paddler) and junior (10-paddler) boats on beautiful, temperamental Lake Champlain. We race primarily in Montreal, Canada and in the Northeastern USA. Come experience Lake Champlain as we do!! We’re looking for new members for our men's, women's and mixed teams. Whether you've always wanted to try this sport, or are just discovering it for the first time, now's your chance! Burlington, Vermont
