We offer the tranquility and solitude of rowing a single scull early in the morning. We also make it possible for you to enter the world of sweep-oared rowing which offers camaraderie and intense competition. And when it comes to competition, the Narragansett Boat Club has some of the most competitive scullers and crews in the nation. In addition, the Narragansett Boat Club has a tradition of offering rowing and sculling classes to the public. We believe that beginners require good instruction, sound equipment and plenty of opportunities to learn how to row. Developing the correct technique extends beyond a weekend or a short vacation. The Rhode Island Canoe & Kayak Association, Inc.is a 501-c-7 not for profit corporation. The Blackstone Valley Paddle Club is a joint project between RICKA and the US Park Service. Each month, the Paddler brings you everything you need to know about what’s going on at RICKA. As a RICKA member, you never miss an issue since the Paddler is delivered right to your door (well, usually your email box) as soon as it is published.

Rhode Island Canoe Kayak Association. RIC/KA is an organization that promotes safe, enjoyable kayaking. The sea kayaking group is specifically focused on kayaking in coastal environments. We organize trips throughout the spring, summer, and fall. The trips range in difficulty from novice to expert. We encourage people to join us and discover the joy of sea kayaking.
