  • DC Dragon Boat Club DC Dragon Boat Club
If you're ever down at District Wharf on a warm evening, you might catch a glimpse of us as you gaze across the Potomac River. Twenty paddlers, a steerer, and our coach in a long, canoe-like boat. Watch as we paddle back and forth in synchrony. Commands echo across the harbor..."Paddles up!"..."Sit Ready!"..."Attention!". Paddles pierce the water and glisten in the setting sun…in together...out together... working as one. This is the sport of dragon boat racing. This is our passion. And, this is what brings us together at DC Dragon Boat Club. At DCDBC, we encourage our club members to be the best versions of themselves as we support physical fitness, camaraderie, leadership, and personal growth. There is a place for everyone in our club, whether you just want to come out and paddle once per week or to become an elite paddler, competing at the highest level at the World Championships.
