Learn how to sail and get out and enjoy the elements on our big, beautiful bay! It is the goal of the Alameda Community Sailing Center to provide a major access point to the Bay, and to educate people to safely use boats so they can get out on the water. It is our intent to have fleets of small sailboats of various sizes to be used for lessons and available as rentals when not in an organized program. What happens to the youngster who has completed a junior program and is really excited about sailing? Where can she continue sailing when the program ends? There are few options available now. We will provide access to boats and the bay so she can continue to develop her sailing skills. What happens when a boy’s father wants to go sailing with his son, instead of standing on the shore watching the juniors out on the water? We will provide access to boats and the bay so they can sail together. What happens if Mom just wants to go sailing all by herself? It is our goal to get people of all ages into small boats and out on the water. Alameda, California
