    Kipparilahti Venekerho KVK ry, which is located in Herttoniemi, Helsinki, started its operations in 1969. At that time, the city built the bottom of Kipparlahti with its marinas. By that standard, the port was considered one of the best in Helsinki. The quays are fixed concrete quays with space for 130 boats and the club has been managing the harbor since its establishment. The club has a clubhouse, a storage room, a barbecue shed and a mast for sailboats in the harbor. The club area is fenced. The docks have electrical plugs for temporary use.     Lauttasaari boaters offer a good setting for motor boating at a reasonable cost. Our harbor north of Lauttasaari in Lemislahti (Lahnalahdentie 3, Helsinki: map) offers protection from all winds. We do not have to compromise with the different needs of motorboats and sailboats because there are no sailboats in our port. We also do not use our resources to support competition.     Mikkelin Pursiseura ry is one of the oldest boating clubs in Finland and at the same time Mikkeli's second oldest sports club. The club was founded in 1905. The club promotes boating safety through boating training and boat inspection activities. The club maintains three island bases for tour and excursion boaters and is involved in the cooperation of the baskets of the yacht clubs in the Vuoksi watershed and in the Saimaa Recreation Area Association. The MPS Children's Sailing School gathers a large number of participants each year. OV's home port and shipyard are located in Otasatama on the shores of Laajalahti in Otaniemi. OV is a member of the Finnish Sailing and Boating Association and its membership is 178. The club's operations began within the framework of the Otaniemi Society with the refurbishment of the pier and the leasing of the shed and shipyard area. The club was originally intended to be an association for those living or working in Otaniemi, but now accepts all eligible applicants.
