The Erie Power Squadron, started in October 1937, is in USPS District 11 and is located in northwest Pennsylvania, headquartered in Erie, Pa. The area is the home of Lake Erie and the Presque Isle peninsula. The Erie Power Squadron is an organization of boaters who believe in boating fun, safety on the water, and boating education. We teach a public boating course and offer many advanced and elective courses to anyone who wishes to become a member. The Susquehannock Sail & Power Squadron, is America's Boating Club in Central Pennsylvania. Centered around Harrisburg, we are a family organization chartered in 1942. Our members may be found on the Susquehanna River, Raystown Lake, Gifford Pinchot Lake, Chesapeake Bay, Delaware River, Atlantic or cruising the inland water way to Florida, the Bahamas and beyond. The York Sail & Power Squadron, based in York, Pennsylvania, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the needs of recreational boaters on the lakes and rivers of Pennsylvania, the Chesapeake Bay, or wherever your travels take you. We accomplish this by offering America’s Boating Course, which is led by certified instructors who utilize state required boating courses and materials to meet state safety education requirements for boaters and PWC operators. YSPS also offers more advanced boating instruction to those interested in learning about seamanship, piloting, navigation, weather, cruise planning, and a variety of additional courses.
