Central Texas Bass Anglers is based out of the Killeen/ Fort Hood area in Central Texas. The CTBA was established in 1998 to improve the skills of bass anglers through a fellowship program and a friendly exchange of bass fishing techniques and ideas. The CTBA fishes 12 club tournaments per year. Our tournament schedule includes such lakes as O.H. Ivie, Fayette County, Decker, Fairfield and Stillhouse Hollow.

Information about fishing in Lake Lavon. Lake Lavon is located in North Texas less than 5 miles northeast of Wylie, Texas in Collin County. The lake, which covers approximately 21,400 acres, was originally impounded in 1953. Lake Lavon boasts a wide variety of fish including largemouth bass , sand bass , crappie, channel catfish, blue catfish and flathead catfish, along with many varieties of sunfish. With recent restocking of striped bass by Texas Parks & Wildlife, look for these fish to become legal size within the next few years.
