We run our tours in the nicest areas we can find. For example, all of our three hour and full day tours in the Pacific Northwest run on the picturesque west-side of San Juan Island. NWOC was founded by five paddling entrepreneurs in October of 1980. Our goal was simple: to provide safe, high quality boating instruction for people in the NW. Years later, the concept has expanded but the goal remains the same. NWOC is best known for its classes, rentals, and tours, which are detailed in our class brochure. We also have about 100 kayaks available for use right from our docks, on Lake Union. Most of our classes and tours are for the beginner, from Rescue classes to Whitewater to Whale Searching. Paddle Trails Canoe Club exists to provide an informal organization for paddlers in Washington State. Club activities revolve around a busy trip schedule that includes flatwater trips on both fresh and salt water, and river trips at widely varying skill levels (Class I to Class IV). Each year, club members lead over 100 trips on saltwater, lakes and rivers for paddlers of all skill levels. Paddle Trails also sponsors training sessions for beginning and intermediate boaters, safety and equipment workshops, rescue practice sessions, leadership training and occasional races. Join the fun at Green Lake's Seattle Canoe and Kayak Club. The club's primary focus is Olympic flatwater canoe and kayak racing, but there is much more than that available. Membership is not required for classes; however, membership is required for use of club equipment outside of classes as the club does not rent boats.

The Spokane Canoe & Kayak Club is located in Spokane, Washington and has approximately 400 members. Club activities include paddling trips for sea kayakers, white water kayakers, and canoeists of all levels.
