    The club is responsible for the setting of 26 hydro release days on the Wairoa River each year. The Wairoa offers a fantastic section of class II to IV+ whitewater, and caters for everything from swimming and tubing in the lower reaches through to kayaking and commercial rafting on the more difficult sections. Only 15 minutes from Tauranga, many of the paddlers who call this river home are local. We run a handful of organised club trips throughout the year usually on the Rangitaiki, Tongariro, Motu and our local Wairoa, Waiari and Kaituna rivers.     We are a small club involved in the sport of Waka Ama or Outrigger Canoe, we are located at Sulpur Pt, Tauranga. Teams actively train several times a week year round, and we run a beginners/development program over summer. We also arrange the occasional day trips for our club members.
