    Alnmouth Rowing is a community venture, with a boat built by members of the community, and housed in a historic old LifeBoatHouse on the beach, right beside the seaside. In the 2015 season we launched our skiff, and we gained a new home on the beach. Over 500 people took part in more than 100 launches before the season ended.     BSCC is a kayak and canoe racing club on the River Stort Navigation, Hertfordshire. BSCC was founded in 1972 and has a flourishing membership of all ages and abilities. There is a mile long stretch of river suitable for rowing, from the boat club to the weir at Avoncliff. Canoeists are also able to access the stretch of river through the centre of town up to or beyond the Greenland Mills weir.     The Cambridgeshire Royals Dragon Boat Club was formed on 21 April 2014 and are based in Eynesbury, St Neots, Cambridgeshire. After their first racing season in 2015, the team won promotion to the British Dragon Boat Association (BDA) Premier league. In the 2016 season the Royals cemented there position as the top East Anglian team by finishing fourth in the Premier league. The "Royals" (as they are locally known) were formed with the help of local sponsors. The members collectively have many years of experience between them and a wealth of knowledge about running a dragon boat club. Today our club, whose home is at St Neots Marina, is thriving with around 50 paddling members, three teams (a race team, youth team,and a ladies team) and plenty of enthusiastic support from our family and friends. The club offers a wide variety of water-sports opportunities for its members including touring, sea kayaking, white water, play boating and sprint. Canoe Avon even has its own lifeguarding unit which provides water safety cover at several events each year, allowing our members to develop broader skills and experiences.     Chelmsford Canoe Club was established in 1946 and is one of the oldest in England, unsurprisingly it is also one of the top Canoe Clubs in the country and caters for the needs of over 400 members of all levels: from beginner to international level canoeists representing Great Britain. All our members paddle in flat-water conditions – "Placid Water" – using a wide range of canoes and kayaks built specifically for flat-water racing and suited perfectly for the conditions of the river Chelmer and Can. The Club has received Sport England Club Mark Accreditation and the British Canoeing Top Club Gold Status, one of the first in country to achieve this momentous accolade. We also have over twenty British Canoeing qualified coaches, who are able to take you from beginner level all the way to the top if you aspire to go that far. A number of our members are involved in management at the national level and play an important role in the development of kayaking as a sport in England.     The Chester Sailing and Canoeing Club was formed in 1956 as a joint club to cater for both canoeing and sailing on the River Dee. The Club house is about a mile from the centre of Chester. The first floor has a large recreation room overlooking the river with a bar, extensive seating and a pool table. Outside, there is a flat area for sitting out on summer evenings and the occasional barbecue. The ground floor, at river level, has changing rooms for the canoeists. Chester Sailing and Canoeing club is run completely by volunteers from the membership. Our Committee consists of dedicated members who have the Sailing Club's interest to heart.     We are a small, friendly, mixed club of enthusiastic canoeists, of all abilities, ages and interests mainly based in the London area. Membership is open to members of CSSC Sports and Leisure. This means that now MOST PUBLIC SECTOR EMPLOYEES ARE ELIGIBLE TO JOIN our canoe club when they join CSSC. Membership is no longer restricted to civil servants. We meet weekly, and also have a programme of weekend trips, both locally and throughout the UK, as well as holidays abroad. Our current interests are touring, white water and sea kayaking.     Clapham Canoe Club specialises in Canoe Polo. We also run a Beginners session, which is open to the public to learn the basics of kayaking. The club is based in Clapham, London SW4, where it has run weekly beginners and polo sessions at Clapham Leisure Centre since the club started in 1990. The polo session moved to Tooting Leisure Centre in 2010.
