  • Blachford Lake Lodge
Welcome to Blachford Lake Lodge, your home away from home in the serene, Canadian north. Blachford Lake Lodge is located in the rugged wilderness of Northern Canada, in superb Aurora-watching country. Perched on a rock knoll overlooking Blachford Lake, it is a half-hour bush-plane from the city of Yellowknife, the capital of Canada's Northwest Territories. Blachford Lake Lodge is happy to be your home away from home in the summer months. Bask in the midnight sun (yup, you can read a book outside all night long!), catch a trophy fish, hike on some of the world's oldest rock, or simply enjoy the beautiful nature that surrounds you. Our canoes and sea kayaks are always available for exploring Blachford Lake. As you silently travel in our northern wilderness, you can hear the calls and perhaps catch sight of loons. Graceful terns, gulls, bald eagles and rough legged hawks soar overhead. Yellowknife, NT Canada

  • Fort Smith Paddling Club
Paddling, Promoting and Protecting the Slave River. The Fort Smith Paddling Club wins by geography! We are located on the shores of the Slave River, along a historic portage route which led fur traders around the rapids that we now love to play in. The Slave River Rapids are a dream for big whitewater paddlers! This is a drop pool river - in between the four main ledges, there are sections of flatwater. This means that our river has paddling opportunities for everyone, from beginner routes on flatwater to extreme grade V and VI routes. Our club has been active for 25 years, and has been offering pool sessions and river clinics for adults during that time. Not just kayaking, we are into canoeing, rafting and SUPping!!
