    The Victorian Canoe Association Inc., (Canoeing Victoria) formed in 1930 and was incorporated in 1984. It is the State body responsible for the management, co-ordination, development and promotion of canoeing in Victoria. It represents the interests of its members, the public and the national body (Australian Canoeing). Canoeing Victoria is committed to the provision of the highest standard of competition, safety, coaching, instruction, education and the creation of opportunities for participation. Canoeing Victoria consists of seven committees responsible for the disciplines of Marathon Canoeing, Canoe Polo, Slalom, Wildwater, Sprint Racing, Touring and Education.     The Ivanhoe Northcote Canoe Club (INCC) clubhouse is located on the banks of the Yarra in Fairfield Park near the boathouse cafe off Heidelberg Road in the City of Yarra. The club was established in the 1950s and has a proud history as one of Victoria's largest kayaking clubs, producing many Australian representatives over the decades.   • Melbourne Canoe Club
    Melbourne Canoe Club Inc. (MCC) is one of Australia's largest and most successful Canoe Clubs – winning Australian Club Champions for the last four years. MCC's focus is on Slalom Kayaking, an Olympic sport where paddlers negotiate a series of poles hung across a river. The "gates" formed by these poles are a mixture of downstream gates (green) and upstream gates (red). In competition, Paddlers have two timed runs, with penalties added for touching or missing gates. Many MCC members are in the Australian National Talent Squad, Junior, U23 and Senior Teams. They have represented Australia at the Olympics, World Cups and various events in New Zealand, Asia, Europe and the United States. It is these same paddlers who coach MCC members.     Tarwin River Canoe Club was established in June 2001, and is based from Tarwin Lower in South Gippsland. We are a small mobile, active club for the young at heart, who enjoy paddling the rivers, lakes, estuaries and sheltered coastal waters of Gippsland in a variety of Kayaks – sea, estuary and sit on top; combining the relaxing pastime of kayaking with twitching, photography and fishing.     If you're after a whitewater touring club with a sense of adventure, you've come to the right place. Based in Melbourne, Victoria, we run trips on many local and interstate rivers. These trips vary from short beginner trips, to multi day expeditions on higher grade rivers. Several club trips have become annual events. The Mitchell River trip on the Queen's Birthday long weekend involves base camping, a spit roast, some terrific paddling and is a great family activity. The one week North Eastern Rivers trip is a leisurely way to enjoy many Victorian rivers, and the Snowy River trip -- a regular Melbourne Cup weekend trip -- is a classic: warm water, sandy beaches, great rapids and beautiful scenery makes it a paddling must.
