The Sailing Federation of the Valencian Community was established in 1986, in accordance with the provisions of the Statute of Autonomy of the Valencian Community, to, since 2018, adopt the SOMVELA brand, a brave and strong brand that represents the maritime and sporting spirit of the Federation. Since its origin it has been affiliated with the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation (RFEV). But, above all, the Federació is an organization that provides services to the people and sports clubs that make it up .
