  • St. John Guidebook
St. John lies a 20-minute ferry boat ride east, or right, of St. Thomas. It is the smallest of the three U.S. Virgin Islands, and the most unspoiled one, as 2/3 is National Park. Most guidebooks will tell you the direction and distance from Miami. Our advice to you is to hold on to your return ticket. When everyone is home at the same time, some 4,000 friendly residents and approximately 400 asses live on the island. That is a ratio of 10 to 1 - not bad... The wild donkeys were counted by the National Park.
