    River Rats (also known as the Fair Haven Sailing Club) is an educational non-profit organization dedicated to sailing: individual sailing, training, and family fun. We are located on the beautiful Navesink River in Fair Haven, New Jersey. River Rats is an informal and friendly organization whose members are drawn together by a love of sailing and the charm of the picturesque Navesink River. The 898-acre body of water is a popular draw for family and friends to gather and enjoy numerous nautical activities, and the modest sandy beaches allow space for relaxing in the sunshine and playing volleyball. Members are allowed boat moorings and slips (for an additional fee). Permissable watercraft consist of various sailboats, small motorboats under 9 horsepower (per state requirements), kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats.
