    HBC offers a variety of sailing programs. Our beginner sailors start at age eight, sailing an Optimist dinghy. Our older sailors learn to sail larger, single-handed boats such as Sunfish and Laser, or double-handed boats such as the 420. Our swimming lessons include many levels-Water Exploration for the new swimmers to Stroke Refinement for our more experienced swimmers.   • Monmouth chapter of SEAS new
    The Society for the Education of American Sailors, SEAS, was founded to promote and encourage small craft sailing activity as recreation and sport by providing low-cost learn-to-sail programs, and by encouraging relationships among all persons interested in sailing craft and water safety. Our chapter runs a full range of sailing courses from basic through advanced, including cruising. Our fleet consists of six Olympic Class Lasers, four daysailers ranging in length from 17' to 18', a 22' swing-keel sloop and a 28' sloop with an inboard diesel engine and steering wheel. This mix of boats allows our members to enjoy a variety of types of sailing and gain experience on different sized boats. In addition to the weekly sailing activities throughout the season and the monthly meetings, we have several fun theme parties off season. Keyport, New Jersey

    River Rats (also known as the Fair Haven Sailing Club) is an educational non-profit organization dedicated to sailing: individual sailing, training, and family fun.     The Ocean Gate Yacht Club was founded in 1909 by a group of summer residents from Philadelphia "to promote yachting and rowing and to foster athletic sports upon the water and to promote the interests and welfare of Ocean Gate." The club's purpose was later expanded to include an active social program for members and their guests. Today the club remains true to its original purpose of fostering sailing and athletic competition on the water by offering a summer sailing school for both children and adults and by participating in various sailboat races and events.
