  • Daingerfield Island Sailing Club
    Daingerfield Island Sailing Club (DISC), was launched in 1973 as the Daingerfield Island Cruising Fleet (DICF). It is comprised of sailors from Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Southern Maryland. DISC owns no property and has no employees. It is an all volunteer club that exists to organize and run sailing related activities that enhance and encourage constructive utilizations and enjoyment of our home waters on the upper Potomac river and beyond. Activities include sailboat racing events, group cruising activities and skills building opportunities. Most boats sail out of the Washington Sailing Marina (Alexandria, VA), Buzzard's Point Marina and Bolling Air Force Base marina (Washington, DC)

  • George Washington University Sailing Team
    Since 2008, our team membership has increased exponentially. We now enjoy a racing roster of over 30 sailors, and teach dozens of novice GW students how to sail each semester.   • Pentagon Sailing Club
    Pentagon Sailing Club is Washington DC's premier volunteer association dedicated to safe recreational sailing on the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers, the Chesapeake Bay, and wherever the winds may take us. We base our operations out of Capitol Cove Marina on Joint Base Anacostia - Bolling (formerly Bolling AFB), and maintain a fleet of club-owned sailboats. PSC offers classroom training, on-the-water sailing instruction, recreational sailing, sailboat racing and club charters. We offer sailing lessons and qualify our members in affiliation with American Sailing Association (ASA). We are the largest Chapter of the United States Naval Sailing Association (USNSA), and we train and qualify our members in accordance with USNSA and now also with American Sailing Association (ASA) guidelines and certification standards.
