    Welcome to the Pamlico Sail & Power Squadron (PSPS), a non-profit organization dedicated to boating safety through education, civic service and fellowship. PSPS is a unit in District 27 of the United States Power Squadron. USPS certified instructors conduct a number of public seminars and member advanced courses on a wide array of topics. Promoting boating safety, qualified members conduct free Vessel Safety Checks for more than 150 boats annually. The Cruise Committee organizes a number of boating activities throughout the year. Although Pamlico Sail & Power Squadron makes a serious commitment to promoting safe boating through education, the natural end result of gathering people who love both water and boating is increased social activities, new friendships and real fun on and off the water.     Pentagon Sailing Club is Washington DC's premier volunteer association dedicated to safe recreational sailing on the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers, the Chesapeake Bay, and wherever the winds may take us. We base our operations out of Capitol Cove Marina on Joint Base Anacostia - Bolling (formerly Bolling AFB), and maintain a fleet of club-owned sailboats. PSC offers classroom training, on-the-water sailing instruction, recreational sailing, sailboat racing and club charters. We offer sailing lessons and qualify our members in affiliation with American Sailing Association (ASA). We are the largest Chapter of the United States Naval Sailing Association (USNSA), and we train and qualify our members in accordance with USNSA and now also with American Sailing Association (ASA) guidelines and certification standards.
