Most of our events take place in Antrim Bay giving a safe area of about six square miles while at any time never being out of sight of land. As one of the leading sailing clubs on Lough Neagh, Antrim Boat Club hosts a range of sailing events. From the competitive winter series, attracting boats and sailors from Strangford Lough and further a field, to the more relaxed summer series taking place on warm Thursday evenings throughout the summer months.     East Belfast Yacht Club was founded by workers from the Belfast Shipyards in 1904, and has enjoyed both the high and the low years through its existence. From the high points through the 1920s/30s/40s and '50s when the Club hosted many sailing races and entertained the owners and masters of the massive J-Class yachts down to the more plentiful and massively supported Belfast Lough one designs through to the Flying Fifteens and Dragons and others of the various periods. More recent activities have been more towards the Cruising side of Yachting. As a Club we have always been proud of our working class roots and welcome prospective new members who wish to pursue their dreams of building from scratch or renovating existing hulls, be they Ferro, Wood, Steel or GRP. We are now more associated with "traditional" type boats and building rather than the modern GRP types, although we have members also experienced in this type of construction.     The Club has its roots in competitive sailing which was originally based at the Harbour in Kircubbin and has been active on the sailing scene in Strangford Lough since the early 1900s. Even it the early days of the Club, Kircubbin’s sailors were among the best in Strangford Lough. More recently the Club’s Flying Fifteen fleet produced some of the best competitors in that class in the world. Although as the name suggests, the promotion of sailing is the main objective of the club, we welcome other types of craft as well.     Established in 1818, the oldest yacht racing club in Ireland. The club promotes sailboat racing, cruising, operates an RYA Recognised Training Establishment, and provides related social and other facilities to members. The Lough Erne Yacht Club is based on a rural waterfront site formerly used as world war two slipway, moorings and hangar. The Club has developed a Clubhouse built in the 1960's and extended in the 1980's, a full service marina and a caravan site.
