  • Woolverstone Project Woolverstone Project
The Royal Harwich Yacht Club founded the Woolverstone Project in 1993, the year of the Club's 150th Anniversary. The Project was the brainchild of the then Commodore Mrs Margaret Howard. There should be, she said, an organisation within the Club which would provide the facilities to sail for any person with any disability whatsoever, be it physical or sensory and its creation would also be a memorable way to mark the Anniversary. However because the Project found it necessary a year later to become a registered charity it was no longer able to remain a sub committee of the club and so the Club elected it as an Associate Member. • World Cruising Club World Cruising Club
World Cruising Club is the world's leading sailing rally specialist, with nine distinct rallies taking place every year - ARC, World ARC, Caribbean 1500, ARC Europe, ARC Portugal, ARC USA, ARC Baltic, ARC DelMarVa and the Malts Cruise. From round-the-world adventures and ocean crossings, to social cruising and island hopping, there is something for everyone. World Cruising Club was born with the very first ARC in 1986, the first-ever ocean crossing rally. We now help more than 450 boats and 1200 people to achieve their sailing dreams every year. Some of our rallies are big on fun and big on people, others are more intimate. Whatever their size, our rallies all adhere to the original ethos of safe and social cruising. Our rally teams are all keen to ensure that everyone has a great time ashore and afloat; we know that rallies are more than simply sailing. Cowes, Isle of Wight, United Kingdom

  • Worsley Cruising Club Worsley Cruising Club
Worsley Cruising Club Limited was formed in 1973 from the then unincorporated body known as "Worsley Cruising Club" which was founded in 1958 as a Cruising Association of boaters who mainly moored in the Worsley area of the Bridgwater Canal. Since that date the Club has expanded to over 200 members and some 80 boats and has moved headquarters to the Patricroft Arm with other moorings in Leigh. The membership represents a wide cross-section of the community drawn from many areas in the North West. It is very much a Club of self-help, with members contributing skills, expertise and labour to ensure the further development of the Club. Worsley, Salford, Greater Manchester, England, UK
