  • Douglas Bay Yacht Club
Douglas Bay Yacht Club has an extensive racing program, round the cans in the bay during the summer months, with longer coastal racing during the Autumn and Spring. We also have yachts which take part in the Irish Sea Offshore Racing Association races (ISORA) which focus on long distance races around the Irish Sea. Cruising is well supported at Douglas with sailing (of course!), BBQ's on the beach, visiting other yacht clubs and enjoying their good hospitality etc. Trips usually run from Easter through to September and can take from half a day to around 3 days. The Bar offers a great place to relax and enjoy a friendly night. There is an active social programme which includes, BBQ's, Commissioning Suppers, Buffets, Quiz nights, 9 ball nights, Darts nights and Lectures. Douglas, Isle of Man

  • Isle of Man Yacht Club
Founded in 1910, we're an active club both on and off the water, with a comprehensive sailing programme offering something for sailors of all ages, abilities, interests and a healthy social scene for friends and families. We run competitive racing series for mixed-fleet dinghies, First Class 8 sportsboats and yachts from April until September. But it's not all about racing: the club hosts regular cruises and fun sails for those who prefer to take their time and enjoy some company on the sea. The club is an accredited RYA training centre offering a wide range of courses - both on and off the water - for children and adults alike. Our fully licensed bar, with a balcony overlooking the beautiful Chapel and Carrick bays, is the hub of our year-round social programme and the perfect place to enjoy a drink after a days sailing. Laxey Harbour is a small port on the east coast half way between Douglas and Ramsey. The harbour was built in the mid 1800s to service the lucrative mining industry but is now used by a small number of leisure craft and inshore fishing vessels. The club is a Member of the R.Y.A. and The M.Y.A. and offers racing, a comfortable and cosy clubhouse, fully licensed, open fire, and friendly locals! Laxey, Isle of Man
