    Welcome to the Barbados Yacht Club, the first organization formed to promote sailing in Barbados. We are located on Carlisle Bay, about one mile south of the capital city of Bridgetown within the historic Garrison area. The bay is blessed with steady trade winds, calm waters and excellent beaches. The Barbados Yacht Club sponsors a yearly racing programme and is a meeting place for its members and visiting yachtsmen. The Club offers sailing, dining and recreational facilities including bar and restaurant, boatshed and tennis courts. San Juan Power Squadron has over 50 years offering the most complete course in Puerto Rico (Law 430, safety equipment, nautical charts, knots, etc.). Among our resources are experienced captains, past commanders and experts in safe navigation. As a San Juan Power Squadron member , we will automatically invite to join in the squadron and district cruises, rendezvous, predicted log contests, raftings and other on-water activities, as well as those activities on land as "noches de ronda" at different locations and restaurants.     Virgin Islands Sailing Association (VISA) is the USVI MNA (Member National Authority) to World Sailing (WS). VISA is also the Sailing Federation member to VIOC (Virgin Islands Olympic committee) representing the sport of sailing in the US Virgin Islands. VISA is the organization that administers all sailing activities in the Virgin Islands. Each yacht club and sailing class in our territory must be a dues paying member of VISA to compete internationally. Members include St. Thomas Yacht Club, St Croix Yacht Club and St John Yacht Club. In addition local Sailboard Organizations and other such groups have been members in the past. VISA currently pays dues to ISAF, VIOC, PASA, ITLA (Laser) & IODA.
