Sailing is a sport for life and offers participants the calm of a casual evening sail or the adrenaline and excitement of an afternoon race amongst friends. BSSC runs a number of programs each summer, such as weekend races from July thru Labour Day. Lessons are tailored to kids and adults and are also offered throughout the season. The Club has boats available for use during the summer months for those interested in giving the sport a try. The West Hawk Lake Yacht Club, established in 1959, was one of the original clubs in Manitoba. Although the club is virtual, it has a website but no club house as of yet, building plans and materials have been purchased, fundraising has started and the hope is Parks will allow us to build soon!
