    The Bellerive Yacht Club is situated at 64 Cambridge Road Bellerive, overlooking Kangaroo Bay. It was established in 1926 to promote and encourage yachting and to provide facilities for its members. It has grown to over 1000 members. The club is a family club and partners and children are encouraged to participate in club events and activities. The Clubs runs Twilight sailing on Wednesday evenings during the summer and Saturday racing throughout the year.     Lauderdale Yacht Club is located on beautiful Frederick Henry Bay, 20 minutes south east of Hobart. Lauderdale Yacht club (LYC) was originally founded by a keen group of amateur sailors, regularly sailing out of Frederick Henry Bay. With no clubhouse or facilities to speak of at the time, the first races eagerly commenced in 1977. Construction of the bespoke facilties commenced in 1981, with the clubhouse itself completed in 1983. Today the club provides sailing training to youth and adults. For those more experienced sailors keen to test their skills and sailcraft, races are held most Sunday afternoon's in the warmer months. The LYC organises racing for 29ers, catamarans, windsurfers, and any off the beach class, that wish to sail with the club.     Formed in May 1979 on the shores at Robley's Point, the first functions of the Port Cygnet Sailing Club were held in a tent with the first racing being in dinghies. In the 1980s there was only a handful of boats anchored in the bay, now there are well over 100 registered moorings. The club conducts races on most Sundays from early October until the end of April each year.     The Spring Bay Boat Club was started in 1975 by a small number of local and weekender off-the-beach dinghy sailors. Yacht racing was held mainly from One Tree Point off Barton Avenue in Triabunna on the east coast of Tasmania but continued at other locations due to the easy transportability of the vessels. Today the Club has a permanent site situated in the harbour precinct at Esplanade East in Triabunna with a clubhouse marina and hardstand facility. The Club currently has about 140 nominal members plus family members and is affiliated with Yachting Tasmania. We conduct regular sailing races for our small fleet of yachts as well as other events for the large number of power boats in our membership. The social side is well catered for with barbeques and other non boating events.
