    Our club has a long and proud history and association with Bulimba and the lower reaches of the Brisbane River. The club has produced many State and National champions, and an Olympic Representative at two Olympics. The club was formed in 1921, when a group of sailing enthusiasts got together and formed the "Hamilton Sailing Club". Initial fleets were 16ft Skiffs, and this class has sailed continuously at the club ever since. The name was eventually changed to the Brisbane 16ft Skiff Club. In the 1960's, the club recognised the need to develop junior sailors, and it joined forces with the Brisbane Junior Sailing Squadron. The Port Denison Sailing Club (PDSC) was established in 1864, making it the second oldest sailing club in Queensland. The PDSC is affiliated with Australian Sailing.     Sandgate Yacht Club was established in 1912 and is located at Allpass Parade in Shorncliffe, on the northern banks of Cabbage Tree Creek. Regular races occur every second Sunday during the season and consist of Flying Fifteens and 505's. Of course, we welcome any classes to join our regular racing. Sandgate Yacht Club conducts sail training, coaching and events, fosters sailing skill, seamanship and trains crews to compete in state, national and international regattas. The club has introduced many young sailors to the sport and provides cost free sail training.     Tinaroo is arguably Far North Queensland's premier dinghy sailing club. We are a family oriented club and an accredited Australian Sailing Discover Sailing Centre. We offer: Racing, Learn to Sail courses, High School Sailing and of course, the opportunity to use the club's absolute water front location. The club caters for any sailing craft but the most commonly sailed classes are O'pen Skiffs (for juniors), Lasers, Tasars and a variety of Catamarans. The club has a fleet comprising RS Fevas, RS Quests and O'pen Skiffs that are used for training and bringing new members into our sport.
