Where Sailing, Socialising and Sunsets come together. In 1963 the Darwin Sailing Club was formed by a group of dedicated volunteer sailors. From these humble beginnings, the DSC has grown and grown to become one of the busiest, 7 days per week community sporting and hospitality operations in the Northern Territory. The Darwin Trailer Boat Club is Darwin's oldest seaside Club. From its humble origins in 1958, trading from a modified caravan, the Club has grown to become a Darwin institution. Today the Club boasts an architect-designed modernist Club House with a capacity of 1,000 people that takes full advantage of its absolute water frontage. Situated on the banks of Sadgroves Creek just 1km from Darwin CBD, DBCYA is a unique and friendly club. From humble beginnings in 1982, the club now boasts a membership of over 1000 and offers excellent facilities to both local yacht owners and visiting boats. Our 9 race wet season series now has 5 divisions to satisfy an increasing number of yachts that wish to take part in the excitement of racing on Darwin Harbour during a wet season tropical storm!
