- Round Ireland Yacht Race
The Round Ireland Yacht Race is Ireland’s premier offshore sailing race and is held every two years by Wicklow Sailing Club in association with the Royal Ocean Racing Club. The 704 nautical mile race was first held in 1980 and still retains the original course; "leave Ireland and all its islands excluding Rockall to starboard."

- Round the Island Race Martha's Vineyard
Edgartown Yacht Club held its first race around Martha's Vineyard Island in the summer of 1938, and except for the years of the Second World War the race has been an annual event since then. For a number of years the course was extended to round the Buzzards Bay Tower, but today the traditional tight course around Martha's Vineyard Island is used. Massachusetts

A Category 1 Offshore Yacht Race & Cruise Rally from Auckland and Brisbane to Noumea, New Caledonia. Sail Noumea is a joint effort of the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron (Brisbane, Australia) and Royal Akarana Yacht Club (Auckland, New Zealand). Starting in June 2012 the race will finish within the tropical waters of Noumea, New Caledonia.

The Singlehanded Sailing Society provides a forum where sailors and others interested in the sport of singlehanded sailing can share their ideas and experiences. It is the intent of the SSS to make it possible for such sailors to compete in seaworthy sailing vessels of various types and designs on a fair and equitable basis. Welcome to the official home of the Transpacific Yacht Club and Transpacific Yacht Race! Membership in the Transpacific Yacht Club is open to any sailor who has successfully completed the course in a race sponsored by TPYC between two points on the Pacific Ocean not less than 2000 miles. Currently there are more than 600 sailors who are members of TPYC: one of the most prestigious yacht clubs worldwide. Starting off Point Fermin at the southern edge of Los Angeles, the challenging race course takes competitors through a myriad of unforeseen conditions: from the cold, wet northeastern Pacific, through doldrums, enormous seas, abundant squalls and scorching heat, to the blustery tradewinds of the Molokai Channel near the finish. After a long and grueling voyage across a lonely expanse of ocean, the racers arrive to the warm “Aloha” greeting promised by the King; honored to this day by scores of island volunteers, visitors, media and supporters.
