The Boston Harbor Sailing Club is a professional sailing school and membership club founded in 1974 to offer high level sailing instruction and, through memberships, make Boston, Marblehead, Buzzards Bay and New England waters accessible and affordable to the public. The Club owns 67 yachts 23 to 39 feet and is a prominent feature on the Boston Waterfront.

The Ipswich Junior Sailing Program was started by members of the Ipswich Bay Yacht Club who wanted to share their love of sailing with area youth. We aim to teach sailing and safe boat handling for the young people of Ipswich and surrounding communities; to maintain an air of good fellowship and fun for the participant while maintaining progress toward expected level of competence in sailing; to promote water safety. Calling upon the need for better understanding and protection of the state's fragile coastal and marine environments, PCCS, in collaboration with the Ocean Classroom Foundation, launched a series of public educational programs aboard the 125-foot schooner Spirit of Massachusetts to promote awareness and stewardship of the Massachusetts coastal waters, as well as of the entire marine ecosystem. MassSail programs are conducted entirely in Massachusetts' waters from May to September and will include a menu of different programs, designed for a broad spectrum of public audiences, age groups and constituencies.
